- UK Fossils Network - fossils and fossil collecting localities in the UK.
- British Chalk Fossils - apparently everything you wanted to know about chalk fossils.
- Natural History Museum, London - the premier natural history museum in the UK.
- The Palaeontological Association - download backcopies of the journal (Vol 1, 1957 to Vol 41, 1998) free by selecting Publications then Palaeontology Online.

- Bracklesham Bay Online - currently surf reports and tide times, but with ambitions to expand.
- Channel Coastal Observatory – a useful site for viewing aerial photographs of the coastline. Use 'Map Viewer' tab.
- Google Flood - predicts coastline changes for sea level rises from +1m to +14m using Google Earth maps with NASA's digital elevation data. Fascinating stuff.
- Solentpedia - everything you wanted to know about the Solent.
